Thread: Red eye bream

I was fishing a private pond yesterday that is deep and the color of the water was brown. The bream were good sized but had not gotten their colors on yet. Most all of them were a grayish color and had red eyes like the attached. The red eyes were throwing me. Is that a color that will change to black once the water clears up a bit...rain has kept the pond dingy brown.
