Not a huge fan of the chest cam, but do like the way it frames fish up close to see markings, size, shape, etc. Chest cams get a lot of hands and reel in the frame, and not enough of rod bend and fish fighting behavior. Mic on camera on chest sometimes sounds a little better due to not having to talk as loud over static noises. Camera mounted up front just frames video a little better, dead center, equal sides of boat and surroundings in back ground. Your twitching method is definitely more visible, and is a frequent question you get/answer. When the bite occurs and the rod bends, I tend to watch the rod action, parabolic bend, shaking, running, digging etc of the fish. With much experience, most can tell what fish is hooked by bite and fight. Front camera angle seems to show that more on the rod. You are buying, trying, and reviewing these wonderful rods for us, let us see them bend under the pull of a Panfish. Wind action and current wakes are a little more pronounced with front angle, less with chest cam as you are in center gravity of boat, and sitting to boot. Like D10 said, maybe a combination of both can be achieved with one camera, do not know. I also know you are out there to fish, and not fool with video equipment. One of my college jobs was a co-op at an outdoor video production company, I was just a young grunt, but do realize the work that goes into filming in the outdoors. I will continue to watch, to get information on rods, reels, lines and lures. I love research and information, think it is a key to success. Your videos have made me more successful.
