Default First brim trip this year

Finally got some crickets and red worms and tried for some brim. First place I tried, had a hint, I went about 100 feet and find a shellcrakers bed and caught 26 and figured I had all I wanted to clean and went back to a place that was very good last year and it was only 6" deep, only caught 2 keeper brim. Was moving to look at another place and stopped to help a friend try to find a few crappie and when I hit hi 24 my trolling motor almost went into the drink. So I left and got a mounting kit, came home cleaned the crackers and fixed my TM. Was a fun morning even with the TM trouble. Biggest was 9 3/4".

    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

Got my wife Carol out for the first time in 2 years, she only thinks there is but one fish, brim. They were still on that schellcracker bed this morning and before we used up what redworms I had left from that cup from yesterday she caught 32 of which I keep 22 that were big enough to filet. I caught one but had a great 2 hrs.

All these post with the big shellcrackers is killing me. Seems like everyone is getting on them except me. Congrats on the catch. Keep them coming
