That rod will cast 4lb mono and a 1/16 jig a long way but the Nanofil really takes off. With anything over 1/16 I have to be careful on the first few casts until I get used to it or it will be out in the woods. Never used the 6 or 8 lb. it also softens just a little bit as it is used and loses some of the stiffness that it comes from the factory with. Double uni knots for the leader on both the 4 and the 2 I use have worked well for me so far. Bring us up to speed when the shipment comes, I for one and interested in hearing about it. Thanks.
i tried the nanofil 8lb first on my Tatula 1000LT first since this reel gonna be use for both bass and crappie. I cannot comment on distance just yet since it is compared to 10lb braid on ci4 2500. So far I’m not so impress due to floatation of the line (lure is 1/16oz Neko rig trick worm). I’ll try lighter lure with crappie rod later.
