Had to use a 1/16 to get down in the current, and the longer casts were also a plus. Both the rods performed as good or better than I had hoped. The only line breakage was just before the knot after 8 or 9 fish and I believe that I should have retied. The Leland was in Phil’s hands and got quite aa workout. Loaded up nice and then the drag would sing. The Brownings softer action was by no means a hinderance and took a lot of the punishment before the drag went to work. Overall very pleased with everything, especially the line. East to see the wild and the orange in the meister was easy enough to see even in the low light overcast morning. Hope this helps someone. All money well spent so far.
Good to get your input on the lines. All of the lines I now use are JDM and I dont think Ill be reverting back to any US market lines. While they are a bit more expensive I think the extra cost is worth it.
