Birddog,
I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
When there is at least two hours of daylight left is my favorite time to be at the shoreline and then i will fish til dark. Have caught a lot of gils during those hours.
sunrise till sunset. i have found that gills can generally be caught all day you just may have to change tactics a few times throughout the day. the last two hours of the day are often the best though. after the spawn i have found that they will move up and down throughout the water column depending on temperature, sky clarity, and boat traffic.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
Depends on what your wantin.
Warmouths I always say the earlier the better. They bite best from 4:00 am to 10:00 am.
As far as bluegills go, you can catch them all day from sunrise to sunset.
If you've got fishin' fever, I've got the fishin' PLAGUE!
