Thread: Fish are staging for winter.

Went below Nickajack Dam hoping to find some early white bass action or to get on some KY bass. Well no white bass. I did find a lot of crappie. I stuck and landed 27 crappie from 11-13 inches. I then got a little too deep and found the bluegill....crappie fishing was over....LOL. Caught around 70 Gills with 30 of them between 8-8.5 inches. My only regret was I did not take the 2018 Fine Tail super ultra light with me...it would have made for a lot more fun. Two days of heavy rain predicted but I’ll hopefully be back at it on Friday....if it’s not too cold. All fish caught on the Tict Ice Cube Rockin’ Finesse rod. Reel was the Daiwa Presso Limited 1025 spooled up with 2.1# test ester monofilament.....lure was a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 1.5 gram Daiwa Gekkabijin jig head with #8 hook.
