Afternoon chores finished up, I took advantage of the beautiful Spring weather and headed off down to the creek mouth. The water is finally starting to rise again and the bank fishing spots will be inundated soon. A shout out to Alphahawk for putting up his care and transportation video on the JDM rods, (on his You Tube Channel) as I had not really thought about a rod case to carry my weapons down to the lake in. Tonight, the 40 dollar case paid for itself. More on that later. The Bluegill are still up in the creeks, but the larger ones were not there in numbers this evening, I still had fun anyway.

A few more small gills and I called it an evening, packed up my rod and made my way back to the truck. While walking over the uneven rocky and dirt lake bottom my foot slipped off a rock I and fell forward, catching myself lucky with my hands, because they were free due to NOT having the rod in my hands but in the case over my shoulder. The case just paid for itself, I am sure of it. Only damage was to my pride and leg, a nasty little scrape from the sharp rock I slid off.
