Yeah...open the jar and let them dry out, until they start to feel rubbery, instead of mushy.You can fish them by themselves or put them on a small jig.
Best technique I have found to dry them out a bit and toughen them up is to use garlic powder. Dump them in a plate with a liberal amount of garlic powder. Roll them around a bit and put them back in the jar. Works wonders!
