I see no weakness anywhere on it. I've been using a Major Craft Finetail Area FAX-602UL for the past year and I
feel the SC Panfish Elite is, as Randy says, "off the charts" by comparison. Downside is $350. But this is offset for me with it's
No Question 15 year warranty. And I called St. Croix 3 times over a 2 week period to make SURE what would happen
if I broke the tip off this rod sometime in the next 15 years. Bottom line -- they will send me a new rod. All they need
is for the rod's serial to be registered on their website and send some pics of the broken rod.
I've nicknamed this rod Excalibur. And it's worthy of that name. I got the 5.5 ft UL and paired it with a Daiwa Tatula 1000
loaded with 4 lb Nanofil tied to a 4 lb FC Sniper leader.
Congrats! Now don’t get me wrong....nothing wrong with a Tatula. But a rod of that caliber....and one you have given a name to....deserves a Presso Limited or even an Exist....LOL. I have my first sub 6 foot rod coming this week. Very anxious to try it out.
