You just cannot go wrong with a CB Slider and/or a Road Running in any of it's configurations. They are a staple in our arsenal. About even up with BG BS straight tails. If I have these three with me, I know I'm going to score heavily.

I am not against using live bait , actually posted this fore those who are young/new to red ear fishing . There are more than one way to skin a cat . I recently started a meal worm project . What ever it takes ,I do .![]()
Here a little tip for your mealworms. Fold a dish rag in half and place it on top the bedding. The biggest worms will go inside it to make harvesting them for fishing easy. Also a light mist of water from a spray bottle they do love, and makes them all come out of the woodwork.
I have given away many bags of Black/Chart slider grubs.A couple of guys i know only fish this bait because it is so productive on all fish species.I tell people if you can't catch them on this bait,I hope you can swing a golf club because you are not a fisherman.

Never tried the Go Go minnow, what length are they? Would love to give them a try.
Good post. That is about all I use also, only time I use live bait is if my friend goes with.

I like the 1.5" sliders.
The solid white ones and the pink with yellowish tail.
