Nice entry! I was holding off yearning for the same experience based feelings you expressed, locked indoors in a NY winter (which really hasn't been all that bad). Black ice early on has made fishing less than safe and the rivers flow too fast with all the rain we've had. I don't even have the urge to make new lures or get stored tackle ready for spring, waiting for the earliest opportunity....or excuse. At least the geese are migrating back from the south which seems a bit early for the year - a good sign.
