Green sunfish, and a dandy at that. The blue on the face and orange fin outline tell the tale. Common in ponds where hybrid bluegills were stocked. The genetics lean towards green sunfish as breeding occurs through several generations. Supposedly make great flathead bait as they are aggressive and fight hard, as you found out.
Warmouth will not have blue lines on the face. Rock bass have more anal fin spines and a teardrop under the eye.
