I use 1/64th jig heads with a crappie nibble and catch all the bream I want. The preferred color is black head with chartreuse nibble. This is a dynamite set up. Cast are bobber.

we have a thread on the number one bream bait .....
so i thought hey why not the "best" bream bait ?
as in a bare hook......
was trying to ketch me sum crappie the other day and running a tandem jig set up
the top one was a green head gold hook number 8 1/64 oz jig head with a tube on it
it was a rather old and tore up tube and the fish didnt want it ....
so i took of the tube and left it bare because it wouldnt stay up on th jig anyway (and i didnt have a spare body with me)
and i was tired a seeing it dangle and to lazy to walk back up to my truck .....
about 4 casts later the float went down and low and behold ....
the ever infamous bream on a bare hook program .....![]()
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales![]()

Far and away, my go to bait is either a fly rod popper for numbers, or a small dark beetle spin for bigger fish...it's hard to beat those two, at least on the waters I am lucky enough to get on. JMO, obviously...
Really liking the Itty Bitty Slab Slayer on a 1/64oz jighead. They cant resist these things. Tadpole and sweet tea been real good colors.
Really like the charlie brewer sliders. Junebug/chart tail. Going to try the 1" size soon and see how they like the smaller size.
A casting bubble with a tan sponge spider and a black nymph trailer.
I just bite mine off and have had no problems. Been doing it for a few months after seeing Eagle1's post on them. Had a bunch of the 1.5" and did not see a need to order more 1". I am using the lil 1/32 ball head spinner jigheads by Bass Pro with them and have no problem.
