Thread: Why I fish.

I fished VFW Lake today...no copper nose in VFW. Found a bed of Gills and stuck about 25. Real chunky hard fighters. Can't always get to the bigger ones but VFW turned what could have been a skunk day into some fun. A lot of folks always ask why I fish...there are many reasons....but that one pic is one of them.

Very pretty looking lake and fish

It's always amazing how even a medium size sunfish can generate so much pressure sideways that I think a 1.5 lb or larger bass is on the line. The same goes for crappie over 11". The other thing I find interesting is that sunfish and perch many times will be mixed with crappie in a school (supposedly) feeding in the same area.
