I get to fish maybe 2 - 3 hours in the morning, from a boat, 3 days a week. Our lakes are reservoirs - not a lot of structure and small. We like to troll into a location then cast & countdown with jigs. 2lb test is huge, besides it's more sporting, tests the angler.... We fish over 60 and 70 FOW in the winter. Right now - 30 to 35 FOW is deep. I prefer to fish in the transitional area - don't like to fish beds. Bigger & better fish in the 17" area. Wherever the bugs are hatching is where I want to fish. Custom tyed jigs are critical.
