    Default More good shell crackers.

Had an awesome two days of fishing my Gill hole yesterday...and Saturday with the Trout Magnet. I was using a Bison colored Trout Magnet and 2# test SOS line. When I first arrived I was only catching the occasional fish. Then it occurred to me I had become lazy and was not using my regular twitching method. My method is getting into a cadence that is like a very slow rocking chair. I barely reel the handle while keeping a stiff arm and lower and raise the rod in a very rhythmic...slow.....rocking type method. Once I went back to my old method it was almost a fish on every cast. It was a mixture of shell crackers....Gills. A whole lot of fun in the heat. I caught well over 6 dozen fish yesterday......and for those that don't know me it is rare for me to fish on Saturday but did this past Saturday and had a great day.....catching several dozen. It seems that the shell cracker are on bed...or it appears that way to me. They are very close to shore very shallow. It is rare for me to keep shell cracker and the only way I will really know is to cut one open. Just a note here...I started out at Pickwick hoping to get some white bass in the jumps. But the whites were nowhere I tried. So I failed to get my targeted specie of the day. But my bluegill lakes are right on my way back home so stopped by them and turned lemons into lemonade...so to speak. Another fun couple of days.....life is good!

    Regards
