I'd like to know how to make my own worm and fish oils....That way I could make my own attractants....I've got two bait pumps on their way.....I was thinking of ordering about 1000 mealworms and putting them in a blender and freeze them....Has anyone ever done that.....Or would it be better to keep em alive in bran?? I've got crappie nibbles, Pro-Cure paste, and Kodiak mealworm paste....DemoMan

Yaknow, if you've got the time you might as well do some experiments. But you might want to think about cost and keep the quantitys small at first. I would blend a couple dozen mealworms first and see how they work. Man I've thought about all kinds of substances to blend and flavor a jig with, or inject into a worm or bait. I think that's how most of the products we use got started. You have to start out knowing that most of the stuff out there has already been researched and developed for quite a while. Don't mean there's no room for improvement tho!
Are you just thinking of a personal formula? Or something you could market later? I betcha there are a lot of personal formulas that have never gone to market but work real good.
    I have a jig with a face like this!

I use a small piece of Berkley Honey Worm on small fly or grub-type lure seems to increase my bite substantially.

    Default bait pump????

The crappie niblets work amazing here as well. However, the fish tend to like the neon chartruese with glitter the best here. They will bite this when nothing else will. It is amazing. Bought an entire case of them.

Also, what is this bait pump I keep reading about in this thread?
