I would frame a nice picture of their catch, date it , have them to sign it . make a duplicate so each child would have a keep sake . then mount their first 1lb. bream when it happens . This is what I did for my two boys .![]()

Within the last few years, my daughters and wife caught their first fish (bream). I've been saving up to have a mount made with replicas. What legnth should I make them? I don't want huge fish, as I want them to be somewhat representative of their actual fish; but I don't think 6" or so fish will standout on the wall. I was thinking about getting them 8" to make them standout but not look like world record type. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Great idea, I may do that also. I had a cedar base that I no longer used, I was able to work out a deal with a taxidermist for the bream.
