Maybe the "lice" were out for the same reasons as you. These days recreational lakes are seeing more use by non fisherman then in years past. Also not all jet skiers are of the drinking age, so don't count on sundays or early morning being the peaceful time on the water.

I have found that as long as they don't play in the area i'm fishing. No harm done. The fish get use to the boating activity.

If worst comes to worst. Try night fishing.
