    Default Bream Beds???

First off let me say I'm new here and would like to say hello. Hopefully my attachments work and can be seen.

I know it's a little early to be thinking about bream beds, but I think I may have found a new fishing hole. These images where taken at an extreme low tide. The first picture appears to be a large area with bream beds with lots of others along the banks near by.

The second pic, I'm not sure about. Do yall think these are large bream (or other fish) beds? There appears to be perfect circles cleared out in some vegatation near the bank. Do bream make beds this big? Incase the dimensions are hard to read, the largest is about 35' in diameter and the others are 15' to 20'.

First thing, welcome to the site! In my experience, any bream/bluegill beds that I've seen are around 2' in diameter, not the 5 & 7' you have dimensioned in the first picture. If I had to wager, I'd lean toward clumps of vegetation in the top pic. Bottom pic I have no idea.

Ancient alien signs of some sort? If this is a river, perhaps its the result of some sort of eddy over the years in those areas?

The first one is in some bayous/oxbows off the river. Next time I'm out there I will chech it out.

The second one is a small (450'x150') pond off the river that is fed by really small ditch. Not even sure if I can get in there. Will have to wait till after winter when tides get higher to find out.

In the first pic, what makes you think them beds are 7ft. wide? They do look kinda like em , but usually they are closer together, almost buttin up to one another. about a ft. in dia.

In the first photo, the red markings indicate one of the dark areas as 7 foot. In the second photo, one of the dark areas is indicated as being about about 35 feet in diameter. If that's a 35 foot wide bluegill bed, you'd need some pretty stout gear. Maybe a harpoon or something. A bluegill that made a 35 foot wide bed would be a heck of a filet. Like "6poundtest" said, bluegill beds are usually about a couple of feet in diameter at most.

Ill have to take some pics. On a local lake here. There is a bream bed that is huge. They use it every year and expand a little with it each year. They don't look like that tho. They look like an outside of a golfball.

Second pic could be a carp bed. I've seen them make beds like bg's just off a sea wall on a lake house we rent. They can be 4-5' wide.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Exactly , but its not just one bed,it might be 100 or so, but the individual bed is about a foot in dia. Like Flycasters pic
