Yep slap happy. I got a bucket of meal worms had it for years. I used ground corn. I also add the crumbs from unsweetened cereal and leftover flower or corn meal used for cooking. Throw in a vegetable every once in a while for moisture. These critters grow on the ground in grain spills so how hard can it be to raise em? Anyway its cheap bait costs me nothing but the time to hunt them out of the bucket. When they are mature I put them in the refrigerator to keep till I go fishing. This keeps them from entering the next stage which is a cacoon.
