Thread: Shellcracker and beds question

Gonna go give um a try tomorrow. 1st, do Shellcracker only bed in coves and 2nd, do they only bed on sandy or non grassy bottoms? Thanks guys

Around here most any pea-gravel or sandy bottom is where they will spawn. I target bigger creeks where there will be 4-10 feet of water but they can be found on main-lake structure as well. They do like wood or weedy cover with what we call yellow mustard plants being tops.
