These are some of the ice jigs ( known up north as pin mins. ) that I make. Can tip with small pieces of live bait waxworm , maggots , pieces of worm , crappie nuggets or small pieces of plastic.. They were designed for ice fishing but work well in open water also. There are local panfish specialists and these are all they ever use.. Never liked being limited by what you can buy so I started making my own when I was a youngster.

Lots of " snowbirds " and people that are retiring to live out there retirement in the south are using these at their new locations. From everything that I read they continue to do well on them. So much so that the home grown southern fishermen are getting interested in this " ice fishing " lure.
