I have seen those molds but I just handicrafts them for myself and a few friends now. I stopped the lure making business website 3 years ago.

I did some more today. Going to paint eyes on some and do 3 D eyes on others. I use mine year round.

Ship,I had an old buddy get me hooked on ice jigs in open water back in the mid 80's.He used to write for the local paper and showed up at the marina where we we catching some crappies on minnows and he was using ice jigs and mealworms.I went home and told my dad and he gave me some of his to use and I've been using them since then.I kinda quit using them for awhile when I started using soft plastics alot and some hair jigs I tie.I bought some blades from Janns and had them for a long time til I read you how to posts.

You can't hardly beat a ice jig and mealworm in the summer time fishing for bluegills.Thumbs Up

Year round G. I do not do hard water but I could do it then too. People did it a lot in Ohio ice fishing.

your so right....ice jigs are not just for ice fishing

These are some 1/80th bad boys I whipped up this morning. They should give me a real nice slow fall. T-1 shell and #6 hook G.

All they need now is a mealworm hanging on them and you know the rest of the story

I know what you mean. We will get some waxworms too. Made some more with glitter and eyes. What do you think? You have to use a little glue with the stick on eyes and then coat the lure with epoxy so it does not chip. These are all gold hooks I soldered to a tin nickel color shell and painted.

Took these out swimming for a few hours on Friday G but they kept ending up in the Bluegill's mouth. Brought home 15 nice ones for a fish fry.

I think they will do well.
