This has been one of the best bream years in the St. Johns in a long time. The water has been low all spring and summer, but the gills and the shellies are still doing it. I've been going at least once a week all summer and sometimes twice and never fail to catch 30 to 40 off my 100 crickets. I usually take home 15 or so big ones each time. I imagine with the full moon on the 13th (august) that will be the last shot at them all bunched up anyway. Caught 29 this morning and cleaned 15.

Good going jaywill. You whipped me. The family went to the beach without me for a few days so I decided to take advantage of the solitude and took the day off today to load the cooler up with bream. Hit the lake at 9:00am and had two one-pound shellcrackers on ice by 9:10am. Caught nothing but littles ones and one medium bluegill the rest of the day. At least I had fresh fish for supper, but the family will need to wait another day before I get the makings for a fish fry. A day of catching dinks still was more fun than work.
very nice!!!!
Nice pics, Thanks
