Its a bottom bouncing rig.its a 1 once weight at the bottom of the line tied to a 10 ft black widow pole.Hooks 8-10 inchs above weight. Its my favorite rig for finding bream this time of year.Watching for surface action helps too.I just touch the bottom with the weight, raise it just of the bottom and keep on moving till i get a bite..Im fishing in a lake and the rig works perfect, the lines aprox 9 ft and alot of the bream in the lake are shallow right know.It a great way to find shellcrackers and its ooh so simple a rig.

What part of the USA are you fishing in, Bfrog? Do you know the water temps when you
    were catching the crackers?

That is the rig I mostly use when bream fishing, I'm glad to see someone else doing it, Cuz I thought I was doing it wrong! except I usually only use a 3/8 ounce weight

Its seems to me that the one ounce make me feel the bite better.Using this type of rig has greatly increased the number of shellcrackers i catch.Ill still work over a bed of gills with a cork from time to time. The rig with the weight on the bottom is what i use 90% of the time.

Good lookin' fish, Bullfrog. I'm hoping to get myself and the wife into a mess of those this weekend!
Mississippi Crappie and Alabama football...Life is good.
