This has always worked great for me. Rig a tube jig on a 1/32 round head with a small hook, and tear the skirt about 1/8-1/4 of an inch behind the back of the hook.

I have two favorite things. brass or gold blades, 1/32 minnow jig in size, 1" tube bodies, minnow heads. I have very good luck with these and also will catch crappie also on these. Crappie love hitting the 1/32 as it is on the fall.
Charlie Brewer Slider 1 Inch Grubs are killers. If i had to pick one it would be the 1 inch slider grubs but these little 1/32 spinners in brass or gold is great also. I have 2 or 3 rod and reels ready with these on them.
