Ive caught them on the big side, too. I consider all fish to be "game fish"... you just have to learn new rules for each one's game.
I'll fish for gar, too, and you wanna talk about a fight! I prefer bluegill and catfish most of the time, but, if it swims I wanna catch it.
I know in central Europe carp are also prized as eating fish. Now some people will turn their nose up at the idea, but I know they are eaten. Your gut don't care what you put in...
