I chase these things but have never come close to one that big. There is a TWRA lake that is around 300 acres that is so full of 9 to 12 inch Bluegill it is scary. It is a little remote and I think that is what has kept the population that big for 50+ years. Pus the limit is 20. But I do believe that it has to hold some 3 pounders in there...3 pounds is the TN state record that is shared by 2 people.
