    Default Perch galore!

Sat and Sun. I caught quite a few yellow perch which were in schools with small fingerling bass. I used my spoon minnow on a 1/16 oz jighead and 8# test Fireline or Stealth. They were even biting after sunset! I'm thinking of pouring some luminescent plastic baits for after dark, Indian Summer fishing. It would be a blast if it worked!

Crappies schools were easy to spot - their backs were visible in packs of 25 or more in open water over nine feet. Cast a lure into the surface school and BAM! Of course the conditions of calm water, clouds, 50 degree water and no wind set the pattern for this time of year. Angler paradise!

Used to fish Lake Erie for the Jumbo Perch there. Man was that some great fishing and eating. Go 200 yards South West of the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Nice submerged reefs and rock piles there. Use a tandom minnow rig or drop shot using hooks and minnows. Fill your bucket. Go home. Fillet. Get your grub on!

Past few times out on Big Muskego here in Wisconsin I have been getting 10-13 inch perch. Fishing in 4ft water with small minnows.
Have gotten about 3 good meals of fillettes this past weekend. Tight Lines Rich
