    Hoo-wee that is one huge Redbreast!! Super nice! One of my favorite fish to catch and if not of large size, they are perfect flathead bait, one of my favorite to use.

    beautiful fish.....mount that sucker.....when I was a kid my dad called them red bellies......used to go up to north central Mississippi and catch them in the Yockanookany River.......taste pretty good too......

    Congrats SlabSlayer. That is one big red rooster. Can you tell us which creek or river you caught it from. Ogeechee, Satilla, Lotts Creek, St. Marys ?

    The redbreast is my favorite bream. I don't think I ever saw one that weighed a pound. Caught one 9-1/2", that's my PB, didn't weigh it & released it. In Tennessee they're nicknamed "Sungranny."
