I like to build my own . I take a size 1 jig spinner and add a pink 1/32 jig head with a slider jig body in brown pumpkin seed that I cut off the first 3 rings in the front to shorten it . Then I color the tail chartreuse with a zoom spike-it pen . It's been my go to lure so far this year A black with chartreuse tail has been pretty good too. I'll probably switch to a black head with smoke glitter body with char/tail when the water around here gets clear . gillchaser

I make my own also. It's way cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!! I like solid colors but lately chartreuse pepper and cotton candy is what I've been using.

    Here's a thread from earlier

I've used them for years and always have them around.

I make 'em myself too. I like chart. w/gold spinner for stained or muddy water, white (with either a white or hot pink head) w/nickel spinner for clear water. And sometimes, basic black just seems to get their attention better.

I like the smaller body beetle spins. For dark water I mostly use black or orange. For clear I use white or yellow.
I'll bet some of these fellas that make their own have some good ones, though.

Make my own. Unpainted 1/16 oz leadhead with black grub body. Killer.

I catch the majority of my crappie on beetle spins. Various colors and sometimes the gold blade and other times they only hit the silver blades.

This one was caught on a beetle spin with a dark green top and pearl bottom. 1 inch style.
