Thanks, CP. I have a couple of ideas of how to make something like that, and a good place to try em out. Even have some #10 baitholder hooks that will work well for the trailer. Home sick, good time to experiment.

Here's the latest version : Little Skunks .... from Nothead Tackle, and called "Little Skunks" ... size of hooks & weight of bait are noted on the bottom of the page.
Fatman is basically correct ... a hard plastic, larvae shaped body with a smaller hook/feathers attached (slipped over the main hook) and held in place with a plastic retainer. The Lisk version had a 2# test leader ... not sure about the Nothead version.
So as not to infringe on the "original" design .... I'd suggest that anyone wanting to simulate such a lure, could custom tie a "body" on the main hook, or use a plastic "stinger" body (or portion of one).
Here's the "stinger" that I'm referring to : Cabin Creek Bait Company, Winchester, Kentucky (and I'd use about 1/3 of the head portion , for a body)
BUT ..... here's the REAL DEAL lure that you custom boys should be trying to duplicate/replicate .... The No-Name Lure Thumbs Up (here's the thread, complete with pic & description ... http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-...me-jigs-4.html ) Just one point : The "No-Name" lure would wobble like a spoon, when retrieved... so any facsimile should also do the same, otherwise it's just a tandem jig Doh (and even I can make one of those :p )
