Thread: got out for lil bit today

first time this season,was a short ground poundin adventure.we hit 2 small lakes.first one didn't get squat.they drained and dredged the first one last year and its probly gonna take long while for it to recover.second lake we hit,we got a couple small gills and pumpkinseeds.we started out late and it started gettin dark and cold out,so we left after about an hour or so.was still good to get out and hook some fish.saw some woodpeckers n cardnals as well.didn't take any pics this time.we might hit another place this weekend ground poundin

in nj,your not alowed to drive atvs/four wheelers in most places.nj has strict laws about everything.really sux here with some things.i get tired real quick if i am walking a long distance.im young but not as strong as i used to be no thanks to cancer im fighting.i can deal with some ground pounding tho.usually when its still kind of cool outside i don't use the boat much.especialy when it gets cold fast.a quick stop at a lake for a few hours of ground pound fishing is convenient when you can just leave in 2 min notice and not freeze your buns off messing with a boat.can also hit a few lakes in the same day without dealing with the boat,you have more time.in wv i've done ground pound fishing with a rifle(ar15 carbine) and pistol(glock26) on me.everybody is friendly down there just about.they wave to you when they pass down the road even tho they don't know you lol.i didn't get too many weird looks with the rifle either :D the mailman we chatted with on our way back was sure looking at my rifle tho!
