I fish lake washington and a 1/32 with a#8 hook solid black with a little red
works great i caught a lot of big bluegill,redears andcrappie their are a lot of
fisherman their that uses it. i sell a whole lot of that jig in the lake washington
area.

Thanks MG , Bo has told me about your jigs. Maybe we can meet up at Washington soon. I have crappie fished there but never bream fished it. I hear there are some good uns in it.

I think it has to do with water clarity..If the water has a little color to it I lean toward the bright stuff...If it's on the clear side then I go with natural patterns...usually sporting a plain jig head with no eyes, the first jig I ever learned to tie....and still 1 OF THE BEST!!!!!!

just depends on the particular body of water for me. a couple goodun's are, a 2" kalin triple threat grub in black, blue and chart, with orange jighead, or a beetle spin type lure with black body and chart. tip at the back end of the body, the cajun spin by h&h lures is by far a better lure than the original beetle spin in my opinion, 1/32 with 2 lb. test. so ya can thro it good. the blade is real tiny and flashy , and turns real good on the 1/32.

I almost forgot, I had some great days this year using a 1/16 chartruese kiptail hair jig with redworm tipped on the hook, under a float. when they were on the bed, that was killer in two ponds I fished.

I say anything in a close-to-natural color with a little bit of bright attractor color to get their attention.

Here in Arizona Kastmasters are the ticket at anytime.All the water is resavoirs so it is always pretty clear.I got into this forum now,and saw all the jigs that people make here,I am in the process of tying my own now.We'll see if my story changes about the Kastmasters then,lol.
