    Default Sandblaster?

Can anyone tell me where I can find someone in the Eufaula area that has a sandblaster?

Thanks, but no thanks. That's a tad further than I'm willing to go. There may not be any sandblasters in this area and if that be the case, it's no big deal. Item I want sandblasted will keep without for now.

14' 1950 model V-bottom boat. Need to strip the exterior of old paint, crud, and other worthless junk down to the bare aluminum. Then I will rush it directly to a guy in Ada that will spray a coating like they use in bedliners. Make it waterproof and he will add whatever color I want in with the coating.

I wanted the interior done, but would have to remove the two bench seats that are rivoted into the hull and I don't think I want to do that.

Granted, the spray on material might add some drag by applying it to the exterior, but the old boat ain't a speed demon anyway.

Stink - If you just spray the interior it will waterproof and quiet the interior. Granted it may not look the best, but it would not result in increased drag.

Got a sandblaster at work, but you will need one heck of a air compressor to run it. Actually it might blow a hole in the boat. Runs at 200psi.

Can't spray the interior period due to the seats being in the way. I don't want to spend $300 and have water leak in under the bench seats. At least two seams run beneath the seats and they're rivoted in such a way that I can't remove them without making a mess.

I hate the idea of spraying the exterior, but don't see any other way save removing the bench seats.

There used to be a guy over at Dow by the lightning c ropeing arena that sandblasted. Might check it out!

I found a solution to all of this. I'm dragging this old boat over to Ada and giving it to my son. If he wants to fiddle with it in the future, then he has my permission to do anything to it he wants.

I'd rather he didn't put a nitrous-oxide kit on it though..... turn that little 4-horse Yamaha into the outboard motor from hell.:D
