Thread: pic question

i am trying to post some evidence for the first time whent to photobucket uploaded pics. how do i get them to this site?

Your picture in photobucket will have a direct link. Copy and paste that link here using the little symbol up above; the one that looks like a picture postcard (yellow with mountains).




It will ask you to enter the url of your picture. Delete all the stuff in your paste line, the http;crap.... you're going to paste all that in there anyway. Good luck. I posted a picture of the ice storm we had in January.

Oh, by the way, do you know how to copy and paste? You probably do, but in case you don't;

When you are in photobucket and you find the picture you want to post here or elsewhere, you should click on the picture and it will bring it up on another page with a choice of different links. I always use the "direct link".

Move your cursor over all the info in that box to highlight the link. Then press ctrl and c. This copies the link. Then bring that copied link in here and hit the little postcard symbol I mentioned earlier. Delete the stuff in that little box, then place you cursor in that empty slot, then right click on mouse and it will give you the option to paste the link you copied earlier.

One thing I do to keep it organized while rounding up my picture and transferring it here is to open a 2nd browser so I can have crappie dot com and photobucket dot com going at the same time. You don't have to do this, but I do because I'm old and getting senile and forgetful,etc...etc..

Now, get us a picture in here young man!:D

Let me do this in steps;

1) When you're in photobucket and see the picture you want to post, put your cursor on that pic and double click it. photobucket will pull it up on a new page.

2) When that page pulls up, look for the box that has all the different ways to post the picture. Use the direct link line.

3) Copy that line using the method I described earlier.

4) Now, pull up crappie dot com, come into this thread, then click on reply.

5) Click on the yellow postcard up at the top of your reply box.

6) A new smaller box will appear and it has a slot for the url of the picture you copied over in photobucket.

7) You're going to paste that link you saved earlier in that slot.

8) But if you notice, there is already some info there, delete that stuff before you paste the link. Its only there for a reference. If you have two "http;" it will bust up your link. Make sure that slot is clear before you paste your photo link.

9) Then hit ok or enter, I forgot, but when you do and its right, the picture will magically appear in your new reply.
