    Default Lowrance HDS-5 Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter


    I'm really leaning towards the Lowrance® HDS-5 Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter but nobody can tell me anything. I like it because the gps antenna is built in. anyone know anything about the HDS-5? Thanks to those that responded earlier. The price is about the same as X27 but notside veiw and I couldn't locate info on side finder feature. If theres a best place to look and buy let me know.

    Side view add on for the Lowrance line is not available until October, if then. Built in antennas are ok, but usually not as good as an extended antenna.

    I met a lowrance employee at the river that said the si feature would be a download. I didn't think to ask and now i'm wondering which units it will work with?
    Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it!
