what does this mean for us the fishing community? will we now have to pay to access/fish the lake? i wouldnt mind having to pay a few dollars each time out if i knew it was goin to make things better.

ODWC Fisheries Division personnel will present a 5-year Lake Management Plan for Lake Thunderbird. The presentation will cover historical survey data for game fish populations, fish stocking records, habitat enhancement activities, past and future boating/fishing access projects and future fish management strategies.
Comments, questions and suggestions from the angling public are welcome and encouraged during the meeting.

They would plan it the same day as the Eufaula deal. Oh well, I am at Eufaula so guess I will complain later.

What the meeting means is that you will hear what ODWC has planned for the lake over a 5 year period. It should be a good program to go and hear. Keith Thomas is a fine biologist and GeneG who wrote the post is Gene Gilliland, one of the senior biologists. Iknow them both.
I really wish I could make the meeting but I didn't know about it and I am in a motel waiting for the Eufaula meeting in the morning. I have already met several who came. Looks like it will be a fun time here.
