Our group has decided to monitor the lake levels for a couple of weeks before making any decision about changing lakes. We've all been looking forward to fishing the spawn at Pine Creek. We have our reservations at Area E at Little River Campgrounds. Hopefully everything will work out....dave

IkenI LIKED above post
I noticed the official word is that the campgrounds are closed till 15 March. I still have my April reservations and my site is one of the higher ones. Be interested to see if they can get the campgrounds open by then. Yesterday it dropped over a foot. Still 33'' above summer pool but I'll bet it would fish pretty good at 6-8' over.
Dropped about 1 ft since yesterday with 2 gates wide open for 3/4 Of day. The lake is 42 ft over normal right now. If they could drop the lake 2 ft per day, that's 3 weeks to "normal." The problem is that there are 3 lakes that empty into Little River or its tributaries and they are all over reasonable levels by significant amounts. They have to juggle releases to keep from flooding a number of homes downstream in the Horatio, Arkansas area.

Pine Creek Update: 14 Mar 2018
Releases from Pine Creek were resumed at 0730hrs (7:30am) this morning. Releases had been stopped on Monday to allow Engineers to inspect the new steel liner after four days of full open releases. The inspection yesterday revealed the liner is performing as designed and no issues of concern were identified.
Releases will be increased in three increments throughout the day today with additional releases anticipated for tomorrow back to two gates open 13.0 feet tomorrow.
At this release, Hydrologists anticipate an additional 21 days to reach the pool level 438.00. Staff continue to work diligently in addition to their flood duty responsibilities to assess and repair damages from flood debris. Campgrounds and boatramps will be re-opened as the water recedes and debris cleanup/repairs are completed. It will likely be 12-15 days before the first area (Lost Rapids) becomes available for use.
