Not too hard. Go into the back of coves during the day. You should find them there.

millions of shad from Sarge to Coon out in the channel about 10 to 12 ft deep. Most have migrated uo toward coon creek. Water temp is 56 deg and still muddy. Coon ramp is open again. Lake is 5 ft high as of today. Drifting is the only way to put fish in the boat. Have to show your bait to a lot of fish. They are so fat right now they look like they could bust. More of a reaction bite than a feeding bite. Use big cut bait not whole shad.

I noticed that in some crappie on a lake here in NE Oklahoma last Sat. Looked almost like females ready to spawn. They sure are eating good since the water has been cooling down.

Ft. Cobb, Carl Blackwell and Hefner are also loaded with shad. Ditto about the cats being so swollen with shad that look ready to spawn. There are also tons of seagulls, cormorants, and pelicans chowing down.
