    Default Advice needed. Grand lake

Brought the wife, daughter and sister to the lake. Would appreciate any advise where to start. Water temp 62-65* across the lake from Shangra La.

Docks are usually good producers. Last I heard black and blue were the preferred jig colors but that was a little more than a week ago. If I struck out on docks I'd look for standing timber. Just my 2cents.

I would be fishing around private docks. start on outside corner and work towards the bank. With the water that warm they should be on the beds. Around and under walk ways are good areas. If someone confronts you about fishing around their dock move on, there is a ton of docks on grand lake and its not worth a confrontation with your family there. You can legally fish them but can't touch the dock. If no luck around docks move out to first drop off in 10 to 12 ft range. Grand isn't known for big crappie. If the family wants to have fun put in at twin bridges and fish the rivers for white bass with 1/16 or 1/8 oz. road runners and GOGO minnow from FLE FLY. Good Luck

Definitely try the docks. Last cold front pushed them back out of the shallow stuff.
