Hit it last week for the second time. Did no good early this spring and wanted to try it again and give it a fair shot. MILLIONS of small 4-6 inch fish, almost like schools of shad in places. Lots of 6-9 fish, comparable to what we were seeing at Oologah last year on the piles. So the lake has a good future IF OKC doesn't draw it way down again. Not many big fish that I could find. And I will flat drive my boat around and burn gas looking for fish (Ask TC or Allen!) I tried all over the lake and tried many different kinds of areas. The only place I could get any pattern was up in the coves were the thermocline got as shallow as 12 feet. If I could find a edge 2 foot or greater with timber on it just above the thermocline I could get a few decent fish. Main lake thermocline was 25 feet deep. Vis was 18 inches, lake was a couple feet low. I think they lost most of the good fish in there 3 years ago when it got way low after the 2 years of drought. Lots of timber on this lake You almost cant get your boat up, its too sketchy. Caught prolly 7 decent fish. Biggest was 1.5 or so.![]()
