I used a fish tape. Had to pull from the back where my point 1 is to the console but I put a tee there for my HDS and then to the bow for my HDS and Xi5. Time and a few kind words along with wife's help I got it done.

Anyone have experience doing this? If yes what are good ways to pull that cable that does not take all day to get er done?

Thanks for the feedback! I am upgrading to a Xi5 and will need to hook the dash Gen 3 and the Bow Gen 2 to the NMEA. I was thinking 16 gauge wire plus cord to tie a loop around the cable to pull it from the stern to the Bow. Do you have a picture of the fish tape? Thanks.
You can get these at Harbor freight or of you know an electrician I bet you can borrow one for a day or two.

Frank, Habor Freight also sells fiberglass sticks in a package that are 3' long each and very flexible for around $9. You can screw them together to add length as there is male on one end and female on the other. It's what I have and used on my boat.

Thanks, Craig! That may be the better choice as I have to pull the NMEA 2000 cable from the stern to the bow for the new Xi5 I have. Feeding the sticks or the fishing tape from the bow to the stern may be tricky!!!! This will help me install the NMEA 2000 Backbone so I can hook my dash and bow HDS units to it as well.
Frank, every boat is different and it all depends on your boat. Regardless, for me, the fishing tape (shown above) is the best way to go. I'd be more than happy to loan mine out if we can figure out a way to get it to you.

Kind of a silly way I found but works. The pole from the flags you put on kids bikes works pretty well if you can't find anything else.
