Okay, I've never heard of a "Silt Gate" so I though I'd through this out to the CDC folks on here to get the skinny on it. I've been fishing on Gibson off and on over the past couple weeks and the water clarity is just short of mud, and does not seem to be clearing up any in fact it seems to be getting worse, down to 3" to 4" visibility as of today. I was told by some folks that do live on Gibson that Grand has been discharging through their "Silt Gates" to clean out after all of the flooding that took place and that is why FG is running like mud. If that be the case then I guess Hudson would have to be experiencing the same fate.

Below is what I found after Googling the topic, so I guess they do exist!
