It is looking like the weather is going to allow me to fish tomorrow.
Looks like ham to me. We have a lot of them here also. I trap more than I shoot
If you get to many I will gladly take some off your hands. I certainly don't mind butchering.
Josh, have you used any hair off that beast to tie some jigs?

Crappie were small, so shad under a balloon sounded good. Got a mess of channels this size. Didn't have any grandkids to help catch fish or more importantly to CARRY fish. Took two trips to carry the fish that 3/4 mile hike back to the truck.
Lookin good. You might try parking closer to the water :)
You need to get with some of your deer hunting buddies for some buck tail if you like tying hair jigs. It would be much easier than shaving a wild pigs but for material :). I'll save you a few buck tails next season. You can dye them what ever color you like.

One of the side benefits of fishing is the sunsets. This was taken a week or so ago, when balloon fishing. You can see a rod in the middle of the pic.
What's the trick for catching walleye here? I've always heard it's a great walleye lake but have never caught any. I'm boatless so usually just fish the dam. Figure this year I'm gonna get serious and figure them out being I'm a mile away and my son is old enough to fish on his own now.
