anybody???? anywhere???? Man I'm telling you, Eufaula is tough right now....we all think the spawn should be getting good but we haven't heard any good reports anywhere on the big E....from Gaines to the Deep Fork its been slow....deep or shallow...clear or muddy....you catch a few here and a few there
Andy
Hit and miss. Seems like there are short windows of opportunities here and there. Just as the last two springs there are big weekly weather swings accompanied with what seems like 2-3" of rain. Only thing about the drought years I miss are the consistent spring temps and no rain. Had some on fire spawns them years.
Grand is in the same shape. Gotta hunt pretty hard and move around. Been catching a lot of females as of late but no bigguns.

well when we catch we usually catch good fish....but thats just it....one here, one there...no pattern that we can find.....caught females today from 10 ft brushpiles to 1 ft buck brush, and they all still had their eggs....caught a few males shallow from 3 ft to six inches but very scattered....had alot of bites shallow and they were all small males
Keystone has been good for the last two weeks. Yesterday they were caught on the banks on the big E around gentry. Hope this helps.

Oolagah is HOT. These are my last 3 trips. I have hit limits with each trip.
I was fortunate enough to take WSD, his father, and his wife Saturday. "Pop" is not doing well and WSD wanted to take him on a catfish trip. I had some pinned up from last week, and I told him to get up here. We were able to rope 60 out of the pin. At 11:30 we pulled out and headed for the bank. Here, WSD cooked the best shore lunch on the planet. We suffered through eating fish, fried potatoes, bacon, and hush-puppies. I felt bad, but i worked through it. ( I only felt bad for all the other fisherman that couldn't eat with us, haha). It was so much fun watching "pop" and Stephanie crank those fish in all day long! I also had a couple students fishing near us. I was able to school them a little from a distance! haha. Maybe they will post pictures of their success.
Gas makes many motors run, but great big smiles and fish makes my motor run!! "pop" was so happy, he didn't know how to say it! That is what we live for!
