Listen to IkenI, if you purchase a mini SD Card, it usually comes WITH an SD adapter that allows you to fit the mini into, then stick the SD in any SD slot. The "unzipping" may be the only issue. If the update can be D/L'd onto the mini card via smart phone, depending how smart the phone is, it may be able to unzip the D/L and then just transfer from phone to mini card. IF that can be done, then mini card into Elite 7, turn on, the Elite takes it from there.
Frank, this means that a mini SD card with an adapter that normally comes with it when a mini is purchased WILL FIT INTO ANY LOWRANCE UNIT that uses an Sd slot.
