Here's some pics of an Okie style ice fishing venture from a couple of weeks back.
It took me 45 minutes just to clear enough ice to launch the boat and get it turned arund!
Ice was 2.5" thick and the USS-POS did a great job easing through it. I had to get up on it at times and it would only bend down a bit, back off and retry to clear my path. After getting to the area I wanted to fish, made a circle then pushed the ice out of my way with the back of the boat. I had an area clear to fish about 20 yds wide and 100' long. Didn't catch that many but at least I got to try. Ice was just too thick to try a whole bunch of spots. The path refroze that night and the chunks remained for days until it finally thawed.
